    Disneyland Cancels Annual Passholder Program

Disney announced today that it was completely cancelling Disneyland’s Annual Passholder program as of today due to the resort’s continued closure and uncertainty about reopening conditions once the theme parks are allowed to reopen later this year. Though new membership options will be available in the future, Disney has not elaborated on what these could be or when to expect an announcement. You can check out Disney’s full statement below:

Annual Passholders who paid for the year in full or who had an unused balance on a monthly plan can expect a partial refund, and any Annual Passholders who had active passes as of March 14, 2020 will still be able to receive discounts on merchandise, food, and beverages at open locations in Downtown Disney District and Buena Vista Street.

In addition, the Premier Passport, which offers year-round access to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland will be canceled after March 31st, 2021. Guests who already have the Premier Passport will receive a refund for the Disneyland portion in the future.

Because there are so many different types of annual passes, Disney has put together a handy guide to how refunds will be handled between different pass types here. Though it is sad to see Disneyland’s annual passholder program go, hopefully whatever new “Membership” option will be will help Disneyland’s biggest fans continue to enjoy the park they love so much year-round once it is safe to do so.
