Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park will officially reopen to California residents only on April 30, 2021 and now it looks like guests wanting to visit will be able to purchase tickets beginning next week! Those with existing tickets who were impacted by the closure will have a head start, and can make park reservations starting April 12. New ticket sales will then kick off on April 15.
Like at Walt Disney World, entry to Disneyland will require a reservation. Disneyland’s reservation system will open at 8:00 AM Pacific Time on April 12, 2021 and guests with previously purchased tickets will be limited to reservations that equal the number of valid admission days on their ticket. Reservations for dining and other experiences will resume April 22, 2021.
Guests who have purchased the park hopper option should know that while they will only be able to visit their reserved park in the morning, park hopping will be available starting at 1:00 PM daily. Current theme park scheduling shows Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, so guests should be able to enjoy six hours of park hopping while this schedule is in effect.
Like at Walt Disney World, capacity will be limited, and shows, parades, nighttime spectaculars and some attractions will not be returning immediately with the park including the following:
- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
- Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
- Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
- Jungle Cruise
- Matterhorn Bobsleds
- Storybook Land Canal Boats
- Grizzly River Run
Guests visiting the theme parks can check the official Disneyland reopening site here for more on what is and isn’t available.
FASTPASS service, Disney MaxPass, Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hours will also not be available. It has also been confirmed that the much-anticipated Avengers Campus will not open with the theme parks, with Disney anticipating a debut for this exciting new Marvel-themed land later this year.
