Disney has confirmed that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will not be returning in 2021 and will be replaced by “Disney Very Merriest After Hours”, which will debut on November 8 and take place on select nights at the Magic Kingdom through December 21.
Much like other upcharge experiences, this event will allow guests to experience the Magic Kingdom from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM on select nights, with event guests able to enter at 7:00 PM. However, unlike the Halloween-themed Disney After Hours Boo Bash, there will be a decent amount of exclusive entertainment, including the return of “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks”, as well as special Disney character experiences, holiday-themed attraction overlays and more. The Cinderella Castle DreamLights will not be a part of this celebration.
No pricing data is available yet, but tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
Though the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party name is gone, it sounds like Disney Very Merriest After Hours will have a lot in common with its predecessor. Will you be checking out this event during the holiday season?
