It has been a very exciting week for Disney with the official launch of the highly anticipated Star wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
The crew of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser welcomed aboard “Make-A-Wish” travellers along with their families before it opened to the public, to experience everything the Halcyon has to offer. They had the chance to have special time with the crew to make their voyage even more special and memorable.
The experience not only gave families invaluable times together but enabled them to meet other “Make-A-Wish” families and for the children to work together and overcome challenges on board during their voyage.
Guests were certainly blown away by their Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser with some commenting that “it was the best vacation ever.” The excitement and happiness can be seen in the video embedded below:
Make-A-Wish America president and CEO Richard K. Davis said, “Oftentimes, wishes play a key role in helping children build the physical and emotional strength needed to fight – and even overcome – a critical illness, and I have loved hearing from our wish families and chapters across the country as they share their Star Wars stories with us.”
Disney have been partners with “Make-A-Wish” for decades and have granted more than 145,000 Disney-inspired wishes. “Make-A-Wish” is a charity whose mission is, “Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.”
With all the negative press Disney has received in recent months it is refreshing to see positivity for the children and families who really need and deserve a magical time.
