UPDATE October 22 – For majority of October, The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Disney’s Magic Kingdom has only been performed once each day. It has now been confirmed on the official website that on select dates in November and beyond, The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will return to two performances a day:
- Nov 8 – 10: 12.00PM and 3.00PM
- Nov 11: 12.30PM and 3.30PM
- Nov 14 – 17: 12.00PM and 3.00PM
- Nov 18: 12.30PM and 3.30PM
- Nov 19 – Dec 3: 12.00PM and 3.00PM
We are unsure of the exact reason why Disney has made this decision, it could be due to demand or a way of managing crowds but we do know that the increasing of showtimes on select days in November and beyond will come as welcome news to fans of The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. It is always advisable to check the calendar and My Disney Experience App on the day of your visit to check all confirmed times for shows.
September 23 – The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade finally returned to Disney’s Magic Kingdom on March 9, 2022 having been canceled for nearly two years due to COVID-19. It has now appeared on the official website that in October the show times for this parade are due to be cut.
Currently, The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is shown at 12:00PM and 3:00PM on most days but as of Sunday October 9 onwards, it is scheduled to only be performed at 3:00PM each day.
It is being replaced by an extra showing of Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade which currently travels from Frontierland through Liberty Square and down Main Street USA, showcasing the EARidescent 8 which includes; Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale.
Up until October 9, showtimes for Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade are listed as 10:45, 13:40, 16:25 and 17:55. From October 9, there is an extra performance scheduled at 11:55 to replace the loss of the 12:00 Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.
The reason for this change is not clear. It could be the maximise the Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World or it could be that Disney is looking to get rid of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at some point in the future so is cutting down the number of performances to gauge fans reactions.
From October 9, Disney fans will still be able to see the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at 3:00PM each day. We will keep you posted on any further changes to the line up on our news and Facebook page. Are you sad to see the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade performances being reduced at the Magic Kingdom?
