For the most part, there is a “No Refunds” policy for Walt Disney World’s Genie+ Lightning Lane individual attraction purchases. Even if you miss your attraction return time, you will not be entitled to a refund. However, what happens when an attraction like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance goes down and you are unable to ride?
Speaking with the Orlando Sentinel an official Disney spokesman has confirmed that guests who are impacted by a ride closure will automatically receive a refund for individual Lightning Lane selections if a ride does not reopen for the rest of the day. However, if a ride reopens but a visitor is unable to ride, they will need to contact guest relations for a refund. Some guests on social media have reported receiving Disney gift cards reimbursing them for the fee in this situation.
Currently, there are no refund policies in place for the $15 multi-attraction Disney Genie+ service at all, as all sales are final for this upcharge. This is why it is especially important to ensure you have valid admission and a parks pass reservation before making a purchase.
