With the situation evolving with regard to the COVID-19 Pandemic every day, Disney has revisited several of their policies with regard to physical distancing in the parks and the use of face masks, and have also clarified what guests who have received the COVID-19 vaccine can expect at the theme parks:
- It has been confirmed that ALL guests visiting Walt Disney World will still be required to wear face coverings, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine.
- Disney will now allow face coverings with an integrated transparent plastic panel to aid in viewing the wearer’s mouth. These face coverings must be a fabric face covering featuring a solid plastic panel containing no openings that is attached to the fabric on all sides using tight knit stitching. They must also meet all face covering requirements outlined for regular face masks.
According to an update on the Walt Disney World website guests traveling in parties of more than 10 are now being asked to split into smaller groups in queues, dining locations and other areas around our parks and resorts to better allow for physical distancing.
Though there are still tight mask requirements inside the Walt Disney World theme parks, hopefully as the COVID-19 vaccine continues to be rolled out, these policies will be rolled back as life begins to return to normal later this year. Which is definitely a good thing, as analysts are predicting 2022 could be a massive year for theme parks as pent-up demand will be driving guests to the parks like never before!
How do you feel about these new restrictions and rules at Walt Disney World? Will any of these modified rules affect you at all?
