Disney’s Contemporary Resort has been under refurbishment for several months now and today the first details about changes that are being made to this hotel were announced. First up, as was previously rumored, guest rooms are being completely reimagined, now with decor, textiles and art inspired by Pixar’s Incredibles superhero franchise.
Much like the Moana theming at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, guests can expect little character touches everywhere in their rooms, from the bedding to the windows, with characters like Edna Molde, Frozone, Mr. Incredible and more being found throughout the room. You can check out these refreshed room designs below:
In addition to the guest room changes, the Contemporary Resort’s world-famous lobby is also getting plussed up with a collection of modern art pieces as well as historical, behind-the-scenes photographs of Disney’s Contemporary Resort in development and under construction.
Finally, it has been confirmed that The Wave… of American Flavors restaurant will soon close to make way for a reimagined dining experience in time for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration. No specific details have been given about what this new dining experience will be yet, but if we had to guess it will likely be something Incredibles-related to fit with the changing theme of the resort.
With both Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort now getting massive updates to include characters, do you think Disney will be bringing similar changes to its other resorts? What changes would you like to see?
