Yesterday Disney confirmed that when the Haunted Mansion reopens at Disneyland it will be a little different, with fresh landscaping details including new tributes to dearly departed pets, updated design embellishments on some of the classic paintings inside the attraction the return of one of the Mansion’s original portraits known as “April to December”
And while most of these changes are relatively minor, an LA Times article today has some interesting details about an additional change that could be made to the Haunted Mansion in the future.
According to a Disney spokesperson speaking with the publication, Disney is considering removing the “Hanging Ghost” scene from the Haunted Mansion, saying “It’s been discussed for sure,” and adding that “It’s definitely something that we’re thinking about.”
Right now, there are no immediate plans to change the Haunted Mansion’s pre-show scene, but it looks like changes could be on the way in the near future, at least for the versions of this attraction that exist in Florida and California. But again, as of right now, there are no immediate plans to make this change to the attraction’s pre-show.
