Disneyland Paris is currently celebrating its 30th year but it can sometimes be dubbed the “duff” Disney resort with the Walt Disney Studios park often getting negative reviews online. We have, however, seen the Disneyland Paris resort getting some much needed attention.
Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel hotel opened in Summer 2021 and has received much praise. The Walt Disney Studios park expansion will bring with it Avengers Campus. Avengers Campus which like all other themed lands will house attractions, entertainment and character experiences, all three of them interconnected from a storytelling perspective, so as to immerse guests into the world of Marvel.
It has just been announced that alongside the Walt Disney Studios park expansion plan there will be a multi-year transformation for Disney Village.
Disney Village is the equivalent of Disney Springs to Walt Disney World and Downtown Disney to the Disneyland Resort. It is located between the two theme parks and includes Disneyland Paris’ retail, dining and entertainment and it set to get its own extensive make over. This phased transformation will start at the end of 2022 and will provide a completely new identity to the area.
When the transformation is complete Disney Village will include a relaxing lakeside park and boardwalk, terraces and patios and exensive landscaping as well as a diverse range of dining and retail locations.
Disney Village will also be home to a new restaurant, Rosalie. The new French Brasserie which will replace the existing Chef Mickey restaurant, is set to open in 2023. It will be set over two floors and will seat 500 guests giving each a contemporary feel and luxury dining experience.
Présidente of Disneyland Paris, Natacha Rafalski said “Our plan to transform Disney Village is yet another example of how we continue to reimagine Disneyland Paris at the resort level, notably with our major expansion plan in progress at Walt Disney Studios Park,”.“We’re very excited to bring new iconic and timeless concepts to the district that will appeal to a new generation of guests, whether they visit from our nearby resort hotels or from the local area. We can’t wait for our guests to be surprised and delighted by what we have in store.”
This multi-year transformation of Disney Village coupled with the Walt Disney Studios park expansion plan as well as the opening of Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel is exciting news for fans of Disneyland Paris and is sure to considerably improve the resort’s somewhat negative reputation among Disney parks.
