Anyone who knows anything about Harry Potter will have heard of Butterbeer. Butterbeer is the popular fictional drink loved by witches and wizards in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Butterbeer was first sold at Universal’s Islands of Adventure when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in 2010. It has been confirmed that a new option of Vegan butterbeer is now available.
Butterbeer is a non-alcoholic drink which can be enjoyed by both adults and children. It consists of a butterscotch flavored soda base topped with a creamy, buttery foam. There are currently six forms of Butterbeer available at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.
We began with the traditional two versions, cold and frozen. We were then treated to Butterbeer Ice Cream, Butterbeer Fudge, Butterbeer Potted Cream and then Hot Butterbeer. With Butterbeer being understandably such a popular beverage at the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter it of course made sense for Universal to maximise all options.
There is now a seventh version of Butterbeer which has been confirmed by Travel Weekly available to guests at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal theme parks, the Vegan Butterbeer. Now, some people may argue that there can’t be a vegan Butterbeer but Universal is now offering the soda base which is vegan, without the foam topping which creates a vegan Butterbeer. Prior to this you could not order Butterbeer without the creamy buttery topping.
