Daytime Slimmed Down Halloween Horror Nights Confirmed, Islands of Adventure to Host Trick-or-Treating

After weeks of rumors, Universal Orlando Resort has confirmed that after being cancelled earlier this year, Universal Studios Florida will play host to a slimmed down Halloween Horror Nights experience with two haunted houses opening to guests as a seasonal experience test on September 19 and 20. This limited time experience will be included with daytime admission to Universal Studios Florida and will allow guests to enjoy the following two haunted houses:

    Revenge of the Tooth Fairy

The innocent traditions of the tooth fairy hide a darker ritual. All children must give up their baby teeth to the goblinesque tooth fairies or pay a gruesome price. Step into an old manor that has been overrun by yellow-clawed fiends who extract teeth by force. It’s an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives

“We belong dead.” The last words of Frankenstein’s monster on that fateful night when his Bride rejected him. But his end was her beginning. Now the Bride is stepping out of the shadows to bring him back. And there’s nothing she won’t do as she sharpens her brilliance by experimenting on unsuspecting victims. The mate will have her monster. And the monster his mate.

In an effort to maintain social distancing, the following special measures will be taken with regard to these attractions:

    • Virtual Line will be used for the haunted houses, and guests can use the official Universal Orlando Resort app to choose a return time.
    • Plexiglass will be installed in various areas to keep guests distanced from scareactors.
    • The use of hand sanitizer will be required before entering each haunted house, and will be available upon exit.
    • Capacity will be limited to allow for appropriate distancing between parties.

In addition to the Haunted Houses at Universal Studios Florida, Trick-or-Treating will be available at Islands of Adventure at participating retail stores marked with pumpkin stickers in the park for guests ages 12 and younger. This limited time event will be taking place this weekend, and potentially on other dates this fall.

Across the resort this weekend, costume wearing for guests of all ages will be permitted and encouraged.
