    Magic Kingdom to be Ruled by Upcharge Events in 2020

     

    Upcharge events at Disney Parks are nothing new, but it looks like 2020 is going to be particularly busy for add-on experiences at the Magic Kingdom, as Disney has recently announced dates for three returning upcharge experiences at this park for the first half of next year., which will have upcharge experiences available at least once a week starting next January.  

    1. Early Morning Magic returns this week and runs through next April

    Early Morning Magic will return to the Magic Kingdom in just a few days on November 13th, with this upcharge now able to be booked for select dates through April 2020. This add-on experience allows guests to enter the Magic Kingdom before rope drop to have breakfast and experience Fantasyland before the park opens, with attractions like Princess Fairytale Hall, “it’s a small world”, Mad Tea Party, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh available for guests to experience, along with a buffet breakfast at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, where cheese and cured meats, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, pancakes and more will be served. Here are the dates this experience is currently available:

    • November: 13 & 20, 2019
    • December: 3, 5, 9. 11. & 17, 2019
    • January: 6, 8, 14, 16, 19, 21, 28, & 30, 2020
    • February: 2, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, & 27, 2020
    • March: 1, 3, 10, 15, 22, 26, & 29
    • April: 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 21, 26, & 28
    Disney Early Morning Magic takes place from 7:45am to 10am on select dates and costs $89 plus tax for adults and $79 plus tax for children (ages 3-9).Regular theme park admission is also required for this upcharge experience. 

    2. Regular Disney After Hours returns in January

    Regular Disney After Hours events continue to be popular, and Disney has extended this event into 2020  at the Magic Kingdom Park, with the following dates now available: 
    • January 23, 27, 31
    • February 3, 10, 17, 24
    • March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
    • April 5, 13, 20, 27
    • May 5, 11, 18, 25
    The regular Disney After Hours event provides guests with three hours of access to selected attractions after park close, as well as ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $129 per person or on the day of the event for $139 per person. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can take advantage of specially priced advance-purchase $99 tickets as well. 

    3. Disney Villains After Hours returning in February

    In addition to the regular Disney After Hours, Disney Villains After Hours will also be returning on select nights in 2020 from February 7 through to July 10, the 2020 for the following dates:

    • February 7, 14, 21, & 28 2020
    • March 6, 11, 18, & 27, 2020
    • April 3, 10, 17, & 24, 2020
    • May 1, 8, 14, 22, & 29
    • June 5, 12, 19, 26, & 29
    • July 6 & 10, 2019

    Prices for the Disney Villains version of this event are more expensive than for the regular Disney After Hours event with an advance purchase price of $145, and same day price of $155. Pricing for Passholders and DVC Members is $115. Tickets for all dates in 2020 are on sale now.

    In addition to all the attraction access and included treats that are a part of the standard Disney After Hours experience, here’s everything “extra” that is included in this more expensive upchare: 
    • Hades and Meg from “Hercules” will set the castle stage ablaze in an all-new stage show, Villains Unite the Night, which will also feature appearances by other notable baddies including Jafar, The Queen, Dr. Facilier and Maleficent.
    • Maleficent the Dragon (as seen in the Festival of Fantasy parade) will be let loose for the first time at night – breathing fire as she creeps through the park as a one-of-a-kind experience for After Hours guests.
    • Plussed versions of Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain will have villain-inspired enhancements and overlays
    • A variety of special food & beverage offerings will also be available for purchase, including desserts, drinks and dishes inspired by The Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Hades, Dr. Facilier and even Emperor Zurg.
    • Special merchandise themed to villains will also be available for purchase
