D23 Expo 2021 Delayed a Year due to COVID-19 Concerns

One of the most exciting conventions for theme park fans is the D23 Expo, which often has several theme parks panels that allow attendees to peek behind the curtain and see what is in development for Disney Parks around the world. However, it looks like next year’s D23 2021 Expo has been officially postponed a year, and will now be taking place in 2022 due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19. Disney released the following official statement about the cancellation on social media, which you can check out below:

“We are to announce the next D23 Expo will be held September 9-11, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. D23 Expo 2022 will be a celebration unlike any other, as we give fans a first look at the incredible plans for the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.”

D23 Expo 2022 will take place September 9-11, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Disney promises a celebration “unlike any other” with a first look at plans for the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. In the meantime, Disney has promised D23 members that it will hold several virtual events in the meantime, though no information about these has been released yet.

Though it is disappointing to see another event delayed, hopefully D23 2022 will be full of excitement with plenty of new looks at what is coming to Disney parks around the world in the years ahead.
