When Walt Disney World reopened after COVID-19 closures, capacity was severely limited due to social distancing measures. It was also a time when many were being cautious and choosing to stay home with Walt Disney World certainly not on their To-Do list.
We always thought that 2022 would be the year when things would get back to some kind of norm and see the parks hopefully returning to what we had all known and loved before the pandemic. Well, with the addition of Genie+, some may not feel that this has happened but with the return of fireworks and numerous entertainment offerings either returning or debuting it will surely feel more like Disney this year.
So, will we see crowds increasing throughout 2022? We have heard mixed reviews about crowd levels in the parks. Some analysts predict attendance won’t be that good which is why Disney is trying to encourage Florida residents with a number of discounts. Others predict that people will want to get back to Walt Disney World and 2022 will be a bumper year for attendance.
We thought we would try to gauge your opinion on current crowd levels in this week’s Big Debate.

We are looking to hear your views on crowd levels at Walt Disney World so we ask, Is Walt Disney World Too Crowded Right Now? Naturally at this time of the year you would think the parks would be quieter due to it being January and with COVID-19 cases still high that could be another factor that may discourage guests from visiting right now. Here are the choices:
- Crowds are low
- Crowds are manageable
- Crowds are high
- Crowds are TOO high
