With news that Universal CityWalk is Opening This Week With Limited Hours, Required Masks, and Temperature Checks, and Disney Springs Officially Beginning Phased Reopening May 20 it will surely not be long before there is an announcement regarding when the theme parks are going to open.
Disney, Universal and SeaWorld as well as all other theme parks across the world have the massive task of devising reopening plans in order to ensure they keep their cast members/employees and guests as safe as possible in the light of COVID-19 still being present.
We heard from Disney last week when it released its Statement Outlining Reopening Plans in the United States the measures we are likely to see when the parks finally reopen. We have to hope that they are gearing up for an official announcement very soon as to when the date for reopening is going to be.
In Poll 15 we asked, Which Walt Disney World Park Can’t You Wait To Get Back To The Most? The votes have been streaming in. I love to hear your views and there have been a few comments asking why Disneyland was not on the list? We also have numerous comments inquiring why majority of our content is about Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando? Well the simple reason is that a large percentage of our readers live in Orlando and everybody loves to read about the Orlando parks.
Here at Theme Park Tourist, we love all theme parks across the world and we always aim to bring you news from across the globe as well as publishing as many in-depth features on them as we can. I live in the UK so I can’t wait for Alton Towers to open along with our local theme park Pleasurewood Hills which I doubt anybody who is reading this has ever heard of. We can’t wait to get back to getting our theme park fix but appreciate this may take time as it has to be done safely.
Poll 16 – Which Disneyland Resort Park Can’t You Wait To Get Back To The Most?
Taking on board comments after Poll 15, I thought it would be a good idea to do a poll asking, Which Disneyland Resort Park Can’t You Wait To Get Back To The Most? For those who had or have a Disneyland trip planned this will be straight forward to take part in and for those who haven’t you can have fun thinking about which park would be the best to visit if did decide to take a trip in the future. The choices are:
- Disneyland
- Disney California Adventure
Simply, CLICK HERE to vote and as always don’t forget to share this with your friends and family.
We absolutely loved Disneyland and Disney California Adventure when we visited on our USA tour in Summer 2008 and it is my dream to take our two boys back to visit one day.
The rules for reopening in California appear to be a lot more stringent but it will happen when it is safe to do so and I am really looking forward to hearing which park you would want to head to first when it does.
Poll 15 – Which Walt Disney World Park Can’t You Wait To Get Back To The Most?
If you haven’t voted yet, don’t worry you still have time. I decided to eliminate Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon so here are your choices:
- Disney’s Magic Kingdom – An obvious choice but with new measures in place is this going to be the best choice for your first park when you return?
- Epcot – Has the World Showcase, could this be a good choice for the best experience when the gates reopen?
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom – I am not quite sure how Kilimanjaro Safari is going to work with potential social distancing measures. I suppose like with everything it will require necessary spacing. Perhaps you could end up with a private tour if you are in a bigger family group?
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios – It was here that we opened the park when we were on Honeymoon, so this park has always got a special place in my heart.
So CLICK HERE to vote. I will update you on the results for this poll as well as poll 16 in my next article which is coming soon!
