Firstly, thank you so much to all our readers who have voted and are commenting on these posts. I had planned a different poll for today but due to the current news everything annual passholders need to know, I thought it would make sense to focus on this topic hitting Walt Disney World fans at the moment. From the comments already pouring in there appears to be lot of controversy.
The news recently regarding guidelines for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders in the light of the current park closures is creating a number of strong and differing opinions. With various measures being put into place by numerous companies to try to support customers at the moment, with the ability in some cases to defer payments for the next few months, it is interesting to see that Disney is not currently offering any such options to those people who pay for their annual pass monthly. It is a controversial topic and one with answers that are no doubt going to change over the coming few weeks.
With so many people currently without pay checks and trying to make their way financially through this very difficult time, this is a worry that could be done without. Making the right decision seems to be a very difficult one and ensuring it is fair for all passholders (those that pay annually and monthly) as well as for Disney itself, appears to be a major struggle.
Here at Theme Park Tourist we are interested in your views regarding this and are hoping that the correct decisions can be made.
Poll – Should Disney give relief and offer options to defer monthly payments for Annual Passholders?
Therefore, our third poll is simply Should Disney give relief and offer options to defer monthly payments for Annual Passholders? Here are the three choices:
Yes – clearly yes, as the parks aren’t open and these are difficult times for everyone financially then the payments should be able to be deferred.
No – it is a contract which has been signed so it is black and white. This is currently where Disney appear to stand on this.
A plan needs to be worked out – the grey area is regarding those who have paid annually compared to those who pay monthly. Are the passholders who have paid annually going to start asking for a percentage of their money back as the parks aren’t open. Then when the parks open again they will pay Disney that amount back again. It could get very complicated.
To vote CLICK HERE. I will post the results in my next article where I will also update you as promised on our story, for anyone who is interested in reading it. I will also discuss the results of our second poll, Coronavirus Poll: When the gates open which ride will you run to first at Disney’s Magic Kingdom? March 23, 2020 Part 2 and will get the ball rolling on Poll number 4.
So there are your top choices, be sure to share this post on Facebook with your friends and family. I am confident we can get more than 2 shares for this one! Please comment at the bottom of the article and on Facebook with your thoughts on this topic.
