Exciting news was announced on Monday that work has resumed on the highly anticipated Jersey Devil Coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure.
The Jersey Devil Coaster which was originally planned to open in 2020, will now hopefully open at some point in 2021. This coaster is set to boast several “firsts” as the world’s longest, fastest and highest single rail coaster. It will be located along the lakefront near Safari Kids and Congo Rapids.
The Jersey Devil Coaster reaches speeds of 58mph as riders sit with their legs straddling either side of the monorail track, one person to a row, and enjoy a host of loops and inversions including a raven dive and overbank cutback whilst travelling along 3000 feet of track after climbing the 130 foot lift hill and descending a 87 degree drop.
Six Flags Great Adventure released two photos on their twitter account of the construction work resuming. This tweet is embedded below which states that a new piece of track has been put into place on the coaster and a spiral maintenance staircase has been installed:
