CONFIRMED – Mirabel Character Meet And Greet Is Coming To The Magic Kingdom This Fall

Mirabel first made her debut at the Magic Kingdom in June 2022 as part of the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. There was a rumor at the end of February which said that Mirabel is set to take over the existing Merida location just across from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

It has now been confirmed that indeed Mirabel is coming to Magic Kingdom as a meet and greet opportunity, beginning this fall. As rumored, Mirabel will take over the Merida location in the Fairytale Garden in Magic Kingdom where the area will be completely redesigned to resemble Mirabel’s Casita.

Since being released in November 2021, Encanto has taken the world by storm with its story and catchy songs including the controversial “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”. There has been an outcry by fans to bring Encanto to the Disney parks with numerous speculations being made of how this could be done.

Back in April 2022,  American Actor and creator of the soundtrack to Encanto, Lin-Manuel Miranda, confirmed in an interview with Insider that “Disney is working on putting something together.” He continued by saying, “The Imagineers are on it, I don’t know what they do or where they live, but I know they’re on it.”, when talking about a possible Encanto attraction. It seems as if the most likely type of attraction will be a walk through where “parkgoers could walk through the Madrigal family’s whimsical home.”
