UPDATE July 14 – It has now been confirmed by Disney that Disneyland Forever will end on September 1. As per the rumor below, we are expecting to see an all new offering coming to Disneyland Park in 2023. “Wondrous” has been floated as being the replacement but nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet. We will keep you posted as soon as further details are released.
It has also been announced that Halloween Screams will return starting September 2 through October 31, 2022 at Disneyland Park. Fireworks will be included on select nights, check the My Disney Experience App for exact dates.
July 11 – There has been a rumor posted on Disney by Mark that the current firework spectacular at Disneyland Park, Disneyland Forever will be replaced at the beginning of 2023 to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.
This new firework display is said to be called “Wondrous” and the project is codenamed “Project Moonlight”. Now interestingly, the name “Wondrous” does seem to be following the recent pattern of the naming of Disney’s firework spectaculars which includes Harmonious at EPCOT and Momentous at Hong Kong Disneyland.
This rumor has not yet been confirmed or denied by Disney but we expect to hear further details at the upcoming D23 Expo in Anaheim at the beginning of September.
