Complete List of 9 Entertainment Cuts Coming to Walt Disney World This Fall

Several days ago, we learned about some cuts that Disney was making this fall to its entertainment division. And then more cuts were announced, and then even more. In an effort to keep up with everything that is either leaving or getting downsized in fall 2019 at Walt Disney World, we’ve compiled a list of all the cuts that have been announced so far, and will be updating this list as we hear more.

    1. Dino-Riffic Dance Party (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)

Though the Donald’s Dino-Bash overlay at Walt Disney World will be sticking around for the foreseeable future, it looks like the daily Dino-Riffic Dance Party, which included character interactions with Chip and Dale in Dino suits has been discontinued as of September 23, 2019.

     2. Mariachi Cobre Presents…The Story of Coco (Epcot)

Even though over half a dozen cuts are coming to Disney this fall, it looks like even more entertainment is getting the axe, as Mariachi Cobre Presents….The Story of Coco, which features a Miguel puppet and a pair of Folklórico (traditional Mexican folk dance) dancers who perform to the music of the film, will be getting cut next week, with the show’s last performance happening on Septmber 28th, Mariachi Cobre will continue to perform their standard set only, beginning on September 29th.

Status: Going extinct on September 30, 2019

The Super Shindig Dance Party, which has been a part of the Incredibles Celebration event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and allowed guests to learn new dances, play great games, and have the chance to meet popular Incredibles characters like Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone, will also be coming to a close in the next few weeks. And though this seems like it may be the end of the larger Incredibles Celebration, the future is uncertain for the Edna Mode character experience in this area, which may or may not be sticking around after this experience comes to a close.

    6. The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History (Magic Kingdom)

Status: Going extinct on October 5, 2019

The Muppets Present…Great Moments in History has been a fixture of Liberty Square since it debuted back in 2016, and has been a fan favorite for guests, who line up every day across from the Hall of Presidents at the Heritage House building to see these beloved characters act out some of the most iconic moments in American history. However, despite its popularity, Disney will be removing this offering on October 5.

    7. The Royal Majesty Makers (Magic Kingdom)

Another Magic Kingdom entertainment offering, the Royal Majesty Makers (which is a troop of characters that roam around Fantasyland including retired knight Sir Sterling, his niece Bridget, squire Tobias and Lady Llewellyn), will be ending their appearances at the Magic Kingdom also in the next few weeks. These original characters are also not expected to return.

    8. Movie it! Shake it! Parade to reduce performances (Magic Kingdom)

The most recent iteration of the Move It! Shake It! Mousekedance It! Street Parade is also being scaled down in the next few weeks, and will be offered twice a day, beginning early next month. However, the good news here is that, if you are able to still catch this parade, the format is not expected to change as a result of these cutbacks.

    9. Burudika (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it looks like Disney has not renewed their contract with Harambe Village musicians Burudika, which means their last day at the park will be October 13, 2019 with their final show happening at 6:30pm on this date.
