One of the earliest casualties of the COVID-19 Pandemic, was Cirque du Soleil: Drawn to Life, which was supposed to begin preview performances on March 20, 2020, before it was suspended and postponed indefinitely. However, it looks like this highly-anticipated new show is finally ready to debut as Disney has announced that performances for this new show at Disney Springs are set to begin November 18, 2021.
Cirque du Soleil: Drawn to Life marks the first-ever collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering, with audiences journeying into a world where an animator’s desk becomes the stage and drawings come alive. The show is a celebration of life, accentuated by the delightful, mesmerizing movements of Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatic mastery. You can check out a new video preview below:
This new show features some of Disney’s most iconic films, including Peter Pan, Steamboat Willie, and more while weaving in an original story about inspiration through the eyes of a young girl named Julie.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 20. You can learn more about this upcoming show here.
