When restaurants at Walt Disney World reopened after the COVID-19 closures, the usual full buffet style experience was replaced with family-style dining to adhere to safety guidelines. This year we have seen a steady return to the traditional buffet experience at a number of restaurants. We now have yet confirmation of a return date of buffet style dining for another popular restaurant at Walt Disney World.
We now have confirmation that Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be returning to buffet style dining from March 1, 2023. We are currently unsure of the exact menu but will update you when this information is announced.
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom returned to the traditional all-you-care-to-enjoy, buffet style dining experience on Tuesday, November 1.
At breakfast guests can now enjoy a range of meats as well as pastries such as Mickey Waffles, Zebra Coffee Cake and Simba Waffles. House specialties including Spit-roasted Tandoori Chicken, Green Curry Shrimp, plant-based options including the Cauliflower Bunny Chow, and various salads as well as breads and dips are available at lunch and dinner.
Donald Duck and friends are around at select times for hugs and photos whilst you dine at Tusker House Restaurant. Reservations are now open, for further information visit the official website.
Hollywood & Vine which is located in Echo Lake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios also changed back to offering the full buffet style experience for guests from August 28.
The news that buffet style dining will return to Chef Mickey’s on March 1, will undoubtedly be great news for many Disney fans but for some who have grown fond of the family-style dining experience they may be sad to see this change being made.
