This is great news for Halloween fans as Busch Gardens Tampa has just announced that it will be hosting it’s Howl-O-Scream event this year. The event will run Fridays and Saturdays 7.00pm – 12.00am and Sundays 7.00pm – 11.00pm starting September 25 through November 1, 2020.
SeaWorld Orlando has also announced this week that it will host a family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular event which will run on select dates between September 19 – November 1 from 11am – 8pm, 2020 as well as it’s Christmas Celebration event.
This year’s event will be mark the 21st annual Howl-O-Scream. Unsurprisingly due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic this will be like no other with a modified production with enhanced health and safety measures in place. Open-air scare zones will also be a feature of this year’s event.
Usually Halloween scare zones rely on actors being able to get in close proximity with guests that are usually bunched closely together. This inevitably will not be able to happen at all this year as physical distancing will have to be maintained throughout the whole event.
Howl-O-Scream will be a separately ticketed event, with 18 possible nights available between September 19 – November 1 for guests to book. Advance online reservations are required for all guests and it is strongly recommended that you book early as capacity will be limited.
If you are wondering about protective face coverings, then yes they will be required to be worn by all guests. Costumes are not permitted to be worn by guests. It also states that this event is intended for adults as it contains adult content such as violence, blood and gore which makes sense as it is an evening event, unlike SeaWorld Orlando’s family-friendly daytime Halloween Spooktacular. Event details are subject to change.
Fiends Show
This show is said to take its largest stage ever. It will have outdoor performances located on the Festival Field Stage where bench seating will be arranged to maintain physical distancing.

Busch Gardens Summer Nights
Currently SeaWorld Parks are offering a number of events to try to entice guests back to the parks. Busch Gardens Tampa kicked off its month of Summer Nights weekends back in July, where the park is opening until 10pm each Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening until August 16.
The event is featuring a new laser and fireworks show as well as the option to purchase seasonal food. Needless to say, during a time when capacity needs to be managed very carefully, all guests are required to make a reservation before visiting the park.
For full details and to book tickets, visit Busch Gardens official site where they are currently offering discounted ticket prices.
Busch Gardens Tampa are also offering two other ways to try to entice guests back to the park in the coming weeks including a Sesame Street’s Big Bird physically-distant photo op and a Wildly Amazing, An Inside Look at Animal Care show at the Stanleyville theater. Guests will learn first-hand from the zoological team that cares for echidnas, parrots, komodo dragons, cheetahs and more. It will also aim to help you discover what you can do at home to help their wild counterparts.

At a time when vigilant health and safety measures are in place due to COVID-19, park capacity is having to be carefully managed therefore reservations for this event must be made through their official website.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg reopening update and event
Although the full theme park won’t be reopening just yet, Busch Gardens Williamsburg have announced that they are hosting a special ticketed outdoor event named “Coasters and Craft Brews”, Thursdays – Sundays, August 6 – 23, which will highlight a range of experiences including a number of coasters for guests to ride. The current list includes Loch Ness Monster, Griffon, InvadR, Le Catapult and Finneganโs Flyer.
On their official site it says that “guests can enjoy plenty of open space as they explore the charm of select villages including Ireland, Scotland, France and New France, before they take in the thrills of their favorite iconic coasters. A variety of craft and local brews, savory BBQ cuisine, and more food and beverage options will be available for purchase at select dining locations.”
The reservation process for this event opened on July 30, and each guest must have a reservation as well as a valid ticket. Single-day tickets can be purchased for $44.99 per person.
