Busch Gardens Tampa Are Offering Two Ways To Entice Guests Back To The Park

One of the measures that has had to be implemented by all theme parks and attractions in general since reopening, is limiting the capacity. You would inevitably expect therefore low attendance. However, guests are just not choosing to return to their favorite theme parks right now.

Is it any wonder? I hear you say. We are still in the middle of a world pandemic and Florida unfortunately is experiencing very high numbers of reported COVID-19 cases. A high percentage of guests who would be there are unsurprisingly not opting to visit at the moment and international travel is very limited. COVID-19 has unfortunately also hit businesses and employees hard making finances very tight for many families. This is obviously bad news for the theme parks.

Many parks are now having to reduce park operating hours, including Busch Gardens which is currently closed each week on Mondays and Wednesdays. As well as this, more cuts are having to be made to existing experiences.

Busch Gardens however, announced a couple of weeks ago that their Summer Nights were returning which will see the park opening until 10pm each Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening between July 17 – August 16. The evening will include a new laser and fireworks show as well as the option to purchase seasonal food.

In order to try to entice guests back to the park in the coming weeks, they now have two more experiences on offer. Let’s take a look at what they have in store…

On Friday – Sunday, July 31 – Aug 9, guests who are fans of Sesame Street will get the chance to pose for a photo, physically-distanced, with Big Bird. This experience will be located in the Gwazi Pavilion in the Bird Gardens.

If you choose to visit Busch Gardens on a Saturday or Sunday, Aug 15 – 23 you will have the opportunity to watch a show in the Stanleyville Theater which will explore the lesser known animals of Busch Gardens. Show times will be at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM and due to strict physical distancing regulations capacity will be significantly limited.

Busch Gardens advertises on their official site that during the show, guests will learn first-hand from the zoological team that cares for echidnas, parrots, komodo dragons, cheetahs and more. It will also aim to help you discover what you can do at home to help their wild counterparts.

Busch Gardens requires all guests to have a reservation as well as a park ticket in order to be admitted. For further information, visit their official website.
