This week at Walt Disney World, a brand new color trend is announced, walls go up at Future World, plus Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge introduces a new feature now that crowds have thinned out.
Outside Walt Disney World, Universal kicks off its annual Halloween Horror Nights event, plus Legoland Florida get slammed with guests during a special discount weekend.
1. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge now offering Mobile Order
Now that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been open for a little over a week, Disney has begun offering Mobile Order for some of this new land’s most popular eateries, including the following:
- Milk Stand
- Ronto Roasters
- Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
2. Walls going up in Future World this week
This weekend saw the last day of operation for several Epcot attractions, including the Fountain View Starbucks, Club Cool, Fountain of Nations and Character Spot. And now, as work begins on the reimagining of Future World, walls will be installed around this area of the park, sometime in the next few days.
3. Epcot International Festival of the Arts to return in January
4. New color trend Arendelle Aqua to be released this week
5. Disney updates Primeval Whirl status on official website
Though Disney has been keeping guests informed about the changing reopening targets for Primeval Whirl, Disney’s official attraction page for this ride has recently been updated with a “Temporarily Closed” notice. This is an important change, as this is the same status that the long-closed Stitch’s Great Escape has on its attraction page as well, and we’re pretty sure that attraction is not going to be opening back up ever again. So could Primeval Whirl be already dead without dying? Possibly.
6. Halloween Horror Nights 29 kicks off at Universal Studios Florida
Though Walt Disney World has been celebrating Halloween since mid-August, Universal Studios Florida debuted their annual Halloween Horror Nights event over the weekend. This year’s event has an 80’s theme, with houses based on properties like Stranger Things, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Ghostbusters and more!
7. Guests flood Legoland Florida during special fundraiser for Hurricane Dorian victims
This past week Legoland Florida announced that they would be selling special $25 one-day tickets to the park this weekend with the proceeds from these tickets going towards the victims of Hurricane Dorian. However, this special deal ended up being extremely popular, with guests waiting hours on Saturday just to park, and lines looping around the front entrance to get these special discount tickets.
