Even though over half a dozen cuts are coming to Disney this fall, it looks like even more entertainment is getting the axe, as Mariachi Cobre Presents….The Story of Coco, which features a Miguel puppet and a pair of Folklórico (traditional Mexican folk dance) dancers who perform to the music of the film, will be getting cut next week, with the show’s last performance happening on Septmber 28th, MAriachi Cobre will continue to perform their standard set only, beginning on September 29th.

2. JAMMitors and Matsuriza downsized at Epcot starting from Sept. 29

JAMMitors

Also beginning on September 29, two of Epcot’s other entertainment offerings are getting downsized, and will be reducing showtimes to only 5 days a week. Starting next week, the JAMMitors (currently performing daily in Future World) and Matsuriza  Japanese drummers performing in World Showcase) will only perform Thursdays through Mondays.

3, Burudika at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to have final performance next month

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it looks like Disney has not renewed their contract with Harambe Village musicians Burudika, which means their last day at the park will be October 13, 2019 with their final show happening at 6:30pm on this date. Though Disney has not officially announced Burudika’s departure, their calendar doesn’t show any performances beyond October 13, which all but confirms this sad cut for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

4. New behind the scenes video released for Epcot Forever

We are only a few days away from the end of IllumiNations on September 30th and the beginning of Epcot Forever on October 1st, and in order to get guests hyped for this new show, Disney has released the above behind the scenes video showing off the new soundtrack and special effects that will be a part of this upcoming show.

5. Automated PhotoPass cameras installed around Walt Disney World

Disney has expanded the use of automatic PhotoPass cameras this week at character meet and greets across the resort. This technology was first seen in use in 2018 at the Tinker Bell character meet and greet at the Magic Kingdom, and while this seemed like a one-off test at the time, it looks like Disney has  now installed these automated cameras at the following character meet and greet areas:

  • Darth Vader meet and greet at Star Wars: Launch Bay
  • Chewbacca meet and greet at Star Wars: Launch Bay
  • Mickey and Minnie meet and greet in Town Square Theater
  • Anna and Elsa at the Royal Sommerhus
  • Princess Fairytale Hall

6. Maleficent sneak preview coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
