We had such a good response to our what is the worst Disney attraction of this Century (so far) big debate, I was sure we would have an even better response to one where voting was on your favorite theme park attraction. Surprisingly though this hasn’t been as popular, perhaps it is because it wasn’t just about Disney attractions or perhaps people just prefer voting on things that they don’t like rather than what they do like?
As this poll was based on our TPT100, due to the number of votes rides such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have currently got in comparison to say Avatar: Flight of Passage which has been around for much longer, it hasn’t quite made it into the top 10.
Later this month we will be posting a feature titled, What are the best Disney attractions of the Century (so far)? so watch out for our Big Debate which will follow this article.
THE RESULTS
Here are the results of the poll:
- Avatar: Flight of Passage – 30%
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 19%
- Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey – 14%
- Splash Mountain – 9%
- The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man – 9%
- Haunted Mansion – 8%
- Expedition Everest – 5%
- The Beast – 3%
- Millennium Force – 2%
- Maverick – 2%
Other Top Attractions Recommended By YOU
As promised I said I would include a list of all the other top attractions from around the world as voted by you that didn’t feature on the TPT100. Here they are:
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye – Disneyland
- The Revenge of the Mummy – Universal Studios Florida, Hollywood
- Steel Vengeance – Cedar Point
- The Pirates of the Caribbean – Shanghai Disneyland
- TRON Lightcycle/ Run – Shanghai Disneyland
- Fury 325 – Carowinds
- F.L.Y – Phantasia
- Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure – Universal’s Islands of Adventures
One reader commented saying that they are sure VelociCoaster at Universal Studios Orlando and Iron Qwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be among the top 10 when they both open next year. It is exciting to think about the amazing attractions that will be opening in 2021 and beyond.

The Big Debate – Can Theme Parks Boost Our Mental Wellbeing In A COVID-19 World?
At the end of September we ran a poll after a study by Zamperla which asked if you think theme parks can boost our mental wellbeing in a COVID-19 world? The response was slightly disappointing so rather than write a full RESULTS article I thought it would be best to add it to the end of this one. The results are as followed:
- Yes – 100%
- No – 0%
I think with more votes on this poll we would have seen a more even spread. I totally agree that a visit to a theme park would always have helped my wellbeing in the past but I have felt different over the last couple of months. From also talking to many friends and family members who are theme park lovers over the last 6 months I know many are still anxious of returning to theme parks so the question is would a visit help or actually hinder wellbeing at the moment?
I have no doubt in the months and years to come that we will return to the days when a trip to your favorite theme park was a highlight and something that could be purely enjoyed, a true escape from all the stresses and strains of our daily lives.
