In our last Big Debate we asked Which Attraction Are YOU Most Excited About In 2021? We took the list of contenders from 11 Massive Theme Park Grand Openings We Can’t Wait for in 2021! Due to uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 many attraction opening dates may have to be pushed back but the attractions/ theme parks in the list are those that we know are coming soon.
With so many exciting projects in the pipe line, 2021 is set to be a hugely more promising year for theme parks across the world than 2020 unfortunately has been.
So here is the breakdown of results for our latest poll:
- Tron Lightcycle / Run – 35%
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 24%
- Super Nintendo World – 20%
- Iron Gwazi – 11%
- Universal Studios Beijing – 3%
- Cirque du Soleil: Drawn to Life – 2%
- LEGOLAND New York – 2%
- New LEGO 4-D movie – LEGOLAND Florida – 2%
- Ice Breaker – 2%
- Pantheon – 2%
- Emperor – 0%
As you can see Tron Lightcycle/ Run at Disney’s Magic Kingdom gets 35% of the overall vote, with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot getting 24%. The highly anticipated Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan gets 20%.
We always love hearing your views and as promised we are including a list of all the other theme park attractions that you are looking forward to in 2021 and beyond. Well it isn’t really a list as there appears to be just two missing coasters. VelociCoaster at Universal Studios Florida didn’t appear on the list as it is thought that it will be delayed until 2022. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot has also been quite rightly mentioned, it hasn’t been confirmed whether this will debut in 2021 or 2022.
I must say VelociCoaster at Universal Studios Florida is an attraction that I absolutely can’t wait for. Being born in the 1980s, Jurassic Park is part of my childhood and will always hold a special place in my heart. Construction work on VelociCoaster has been moving at lightning speed which gives us all hope of a 2021 opening. We will just have to wait and see.
