Tokyo DisneySea has released a new video of drone footage showing the construction so far of it’s upcoming new themed port, Fantasy Springs which is expected to open in 2023.
The video footage takes you through the various stages of construction from November 6, 2019 when the area began as a car park to February 2, 2020 when construction had begun with footings clearly visible. On July 26, 2020 buildings have begun to rise from the ground and on November 1, 2020 the structure of Fantasy Springs begins to take shape. Constuction continued over the Winter of 2020 and on January 17, 2021 the buildings are rising further. Walls around the port can be seen in the footage from April 25, 2021 with the sheer size and scale visible in August, 2021.
The video finishes with concept art of what can be expected when Fantasy Springs opens in 2023 with elaborate buildings and extensive theming.
Fantasy Springs will be Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth port and is set to be the largest of them all. It will be home to a Disney Deluxe hotel and will be split into three distinctive areas each based on a popular Walt Disney Animation Studios film. These include “Frozen”, “Tangled” and “Peter Pan”. Each area will include amazing attractions, theming and restaurants which will immerse guests in the magical worlds the films are based on.
