Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and LEGOLAND Windsor, which are four of the UKs top theme parks and are all owned by Merlin Entertainments, have announced they are expecting to reopen on 4th July, 2020. Each park has put an announcement on their official website with Alton Towers stating that “in line with current Government guidance, we expect to be able to reopen on the 4th July. We can’t wait to welcome you back!”
Although the 4th July date is now clearly in our minds as the date Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and LEGOLAND Windsor along with a number of other UK theme parks will all reopen, it hasn’t actually been confirmed yet. On the Alton Towers website it says they will confirm this date in the coming weeks.
This is, however, still extremely exciting news for all UK theme park fans who have been eagerly awaiting news of when their favourite theme park gates will be reopening, or should I say opening for the 2020 season.
In a world where COVID-19 is still present, we all now understand that any theme park visit we make will certainly not be like one we have experienced before, which can be seen by reading guidelines to be followed when Alton Towers reopens.
