It is the biggest news to come out of the Walt Disney Imagineering panel at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London, new adventures and characters will be coming to the iconic Star Tours attraction in 2024 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Park and Disneyland Paris.
So far, Disney is not divulging any more details as to the storylines for these adventures or for the new characters we are likely to see coming to Star Tours. We also haven’t got an exact time line as it is currently slated as 2024 but beginning, spring, summer or late we do not know. We are, however, assuming it will be earlier rather than later in the year.
It was back in June 2022 that during a Disney Parks Panel at the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, Imagineer Scott Trowbridge first said that Star Tours will continue to evolve and teased that new destinations could be coming to this attraction and although it has been a long time coming, we now know that 2024 will be the year.
What is most exciting to think about is which new adventures Disney will devise to come to the Star Tours screens and with series like The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi continuing to do well on Disney+ it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility that new stops inspired by these shows could be in the works.
