Blizzard Beach Is Closed Again Due To Cold Weather

Blizzard Beach has already been closed for a number of days in January due to cold weather. We now know that the park will be closed again today (January, 26) and tomorrow (January, 27). Now, according to the official Walt Disney World calendar, Blizzard Beach is scheduled to reopen on Saturday January 28, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM although this may be subject to change.

If you are hoping to visit Blizzard Beach in the coming weeks it is always advisable to check the calendar and social media channels before your visit to check the latest opening times.

Frozen fans will be pleased to know that further characters have been recently added to Tike’s Peak. Look out for Sven and Kristoff peeking out from behind a bank of snow at the children’s splash pad play area. They join Elsa, Anna and Olaf and his friends in this refurbished section of the park.

If you are interested in seeing a tour of the refurbished Blizzard Beach including the new Tikes Peak, check out the video embedded below which has been posted to YouTube by ResortTV1.

Scattered around the park there are areas where you can enjoy seeing and feeling fake snow and the snowmen family scenes certainly look fun. There are icicles and snow covering the park’s rocks and Tike’s Pike has been transformed into a Frozen paradise.

Anna and Elsa feature as children in their igloo castle at Tikes Peak with Olaf and his friends enjoying a splash in the pool. The story behind this transformed area is that Elsa is using her magic to create a Frozen paradise for her trusted friend Olaf. Snowflakes can also be seen on the bottom of the pool and the area has a new soundtrack taken from the Frozen films for guests to enjoy.

Guests have the chance to try the new beverage, Watta-Melon Passion Lemonade from Lottawatta Lounge as well as returning favorite flavors include seasonal DOLE Whip offerings, the Double Bacon Cheeseburger and the iconic 50th Ice Dream Sand Pail Sundae.
