Several Character Meet And Greets Reportedly Cut Due To Staffing Issues At Walt Disney World

It has been fantastic to see numerous character meet and greets returning to Walt Disney World this year and this week we have heard news of further experiences returning, including The Green Army Drum Corps to Toy Story Land and Princesses to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. However, there has also been a rumor of character cuts.

According to WDWMagic, as of this weekend, several character meet and greets are being discontinued reportedly due to a shortage of available entertainment performers.

The cuts are rumored to include Minnie Mouse at Town Square Theater, Minnie Mouse at EPCOT International Gateway, and Donald, Daisy, and Max at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Though these are probably not permanent character removals, with a potential lull in guests between now and the holiday season, Disney may be looking to cut where they can while the labor shortage is ongoing.

Are you sad to see these character cuts? Let us know what you think about these character meet and greets currently being discontinued by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook page. We will keep you up to date of further changes to character experiences when they are announced here at Theme Park Tourist.
