As the path and intensity becomes clearer regarding Tropical Storm Ian, decisions have been made about theme park closures in Central Florida.
With Tropical Storm Ian expected to hit Tampa potentially as a Category 4 hurricane, it was officially announced late last night that Busch Gardens Tampa will be closed on Wednesday September 28 and Thursday September 29.

In the tweet, Busch Gardens Tampa states it has taken the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the animals at the park and guests are advised to check the official website and social media channels for further details of reopenings.
On the important Hurricane Ian Updates page on the SeaWorld Entertainment website it states that “All admission tickets have been extended through December 31. Annual Pass members’ guest tickets with an expiration date of Sept. 30 will be extended through Oct. 16.”
“Discovery Cove has also enacted it’s “Named Storm Policy” for Wednesday September 28 and Thursday September 29 and bookings for these dates will be rescheduled on refunded online or from the call center. For additional information, call 407-513-4600.”
