All eyes are on the 2022 D23 Expo next month, where Disney fans should get a look at the next phase of Disney parks in the US, with announcements expected regarding an opening date for TRON Lightcycle / Run, a closure date for Splash Mountain as it begins its transformation into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (both at Walt Disney World and Disneyland), an update on EPCOT’s transformation, and perhaps even some surprises as well.
Though attending this panel in person will no doubt be a thrilling experience for those at the D23 Expo from September 9-11, if you don’t have a ticket for the sold-out event, you can still check out all of the announcements from the 90-minute parks panel, entitled “A Boundless Future: Disney Parks, Experiences and Products,” hosted by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro, thanks to a number of free streaming at-home options.
The panel will kick off on September 11 at 10:30 AM PT (that’s 1:30 PM for the east coast), and will be streamed live on a number of channels, including D23Expo.com/live, D23.com, and on all D23 social platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch. Thus far it doesn’t look like there will be a Disney+ streaming option, but that could change as we get closer to the event.
Several other D23 Expo panels will be livestreamed through these channels as well, including the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, D23 Disney Stars Trivia Showdown, Walt Disney Imagineering: 70 Years of Making the Impossible, Possible, and more. You can see the full schedule of panels that are set to be livestreamed at the official D23 Expo website here.
No matter whether you are attending in person, streaming at home, or just watching reactions pour in on social media, this panel will definitely be one you won’t want to miss, as Disney will hopefully reveal some exciting announcements and future projects that will help get longtime Disney fans truly excited about the theme parks again.
