Mears Connect Already Hikes Price Of Express Service By $50

Mears Connect only officially began operating on January 1, 2022 and it has already hiked the price of its Express Service.

As we all know, Disney’s Magical Express is no more. As this service was run by Mears, when Disney announced back in January 2021 that it was cancelling this much loved perk for resort guests in January 2022, Mears instantly announced they would still provide transport for guests from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World hotels albeit at a price.

Thus, Mears Connect was born…

Back in August 2021 Mears announced the pricing for its services. They would offer two tiers:

  • Standard Service – which is a shared service, large vehicles and a monitored wait time. Pricing $32 for a round trip for adults and $27 for children and for a single trip, $16 per adult and $13.50 per child.
  • Express Service – Direct service with limited wait time. Pricing was set at $200 for four guests for a round trip with an additional surcharge of $55 per extra guest.

Only after just over two weeks of running, Mears has already raised the price of its Express Service by $50 meaning if you are looking to book, you will now need to pay $250 rather than $200 for up to four passengers. The additional passenger charge stays the same at $55 per extra guest.

The standard service pricing remains the same for now. We will keep you posted on any further price hikes as and when they happen. Let us know if you will be using Mears Connect on your trip to Walt Disney World by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook page.
