This week at Walt Disney World, guests cancel reservations at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a new discount of up to $100 off hotel stays is announced, plus a previously complimentary item for guests paying for collectible lightsabers at Savi’s Workshop is discontinued.
Outside Walt Disney World, SeaWorld sets an opening date for Ice Breaker and Revenge of the Mummy shuts down until summer.
1. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure no longer using virtual queue
As of this week, the virtual queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT will no longer be used. Guests can now choose from either waiting in the standby line or purchasing a Lightning Lane single attraction pass for $8 – $11 per guest, per ride. That leaves Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance as the last attraction using the virtual queue system.
2. Voices of Liberty return to the American Adventure rotunda
The Voices of Liberty group has been performing outdoors at the America Gardens Theater during various festivals, but as of this weekend this entertainment fixture is returning to its original home inside the American Adventure rotunda for regular performances.

4. New discount available for hotel stays
Walt Disney World has released a new hotel stay offer that allows guests to save up to $100 per night on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels for stays most nights March 6, 2022 through July 7, 2022. This is a room only offer and the amount of discount varies with resort and room type. You can learn more here.
5. Complementary cases no longer being given out at Savi’s Workshop
Due to what are being called “supply chain issues”, guests who purchase a $219 lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop are no longer being given a carrying case to protect their new collectible. Guests were understandably dismayed by this change, and now Disney is offering a small 10% discount (just over $20) for guests to make up for the change. Premium carrying cases are still being sold inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for $50.
6. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster struggles with operations
The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has had a tough start to the year, after unexpectedly closing on December 29 and 30 and then reopening on December 31. The attraction operated for a few days and then closed once again on January 3 and 4. It reopened for one day on January 5 but then shut down again on January 6. We’re not sure what is behind these sporadic closures, but hopefully Disney can fix whatever is going on with this attraction.
