Future World Land Replacements to Debut This Week as Part of EPCOT Transformation

EPCOT will be hitting two major milestones in its transformation this week, with the first being the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France Pavillion inside World Showcase. However, it looks like this date will also bring another big change to this park as well.

Though it has been in the works for awhile, on October 1, 2021 Future World will officially be no more at EPCOT, replaced by three “neighborhoods” that better align with EPCOT’s new direction: World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery. You can check out a map of these new lands below:

The My Disney Experience App has already been updated, with individual attractions now showcasing their new “neighborhood” location, though the larger map still shows Future World at the front of the park.

Are you excited for this name change to debut in the park on October 1? Or will you miss the old Future World name, which had been a part of the park since its opening 40 years ago?
