Disney has announced that the updates to the Jungle Cruise ride that have been ongoing for the last few months are now complete. The changes to this attraction add additional story elements that preserve the spirit of the attraction, which aim to add more humor, wildlife and “skipper heart” to the ride while better reflecting the world we live in today.
To celebrate this milestone Walt Disney Imagineers have installed a mural of Alberta Falls signaling the end of the enhancement project. You can check out this mural below:
This mural highlight’s this attraction’s new story, which is centered around Alberta Falls (above) who is the granddaughter of world-renowned Dr. Albert Falls, and is now the proprietor of the Jungle Navigation Company Ltd.
Other changes to this attraction include new scenes featuring a Boats and Baits and Bites! store, a sunken Jungle Cruise boat in the Hippo pool, another wrecked boat with chimps, an updated “up the pole” scene, and a “Trader Sam’s” gift shop set near the end of the ride.
