SeaWorld San Antonio announced that it will soon be home to the world’s tallest and fastest “screaming swing” style ride, appropriately named Tidal Surge.
This new attraction will seat 40 riders and feature two pendulum-like arms that will swing back and forth. The height of the ride will reach 135 feet and the structure itself will measure 104 feet high. Riders will experience speeds of up to 68 miles per hour while taking in breathtaking views of the waterski lake and other parts of the park. Guests will also feel weightless during multiple negative G moments during the ride. You can check out concept art of this new attraction below:
Tidal Surge is set to open in the Spring of 2022 and will join SeaWorld San Antonio’s four thrilling rollercoasters, cementing this park as a top destination for thrill junkies.
This latest announcement is the most recent in what has been a very busy day for SeaWorld parks and entertainment, with the announcement that Ice Breaker at SeaWorld Orlando is opening in February 2022 and the long-awaited Iron Gwazi will be opening at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in March of 2022.
