The countdown is on for the June 4, 2021 opening of the brand new Marvel-themed Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resort, inside Disney California Adventure Park, which will include the much anticipated WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction. In this new ride, guests will join Spider-Man on an adventure and will be able to shoot their own webs during this action-packed attraction. However, it was announced today that guests who purchase special upcharge souvenirs will be able to experience something a little extra on this new ride.
When the ride opens next month guests will be able to purchase “WEB Tech” accessories including a WEB Power Band that unlocks multi-fire webs aboard WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and can then be further customized with power ups inspired by characters like Spider-Man and Ghost Spider (whose power ups will allow guests to shoot electro-dynamic webs) as well as Iron Man and Rescue (whose power ups can fire repulsor blasts).
No pricing information has been announced for these customizable souvenirs, and guests who opt not to purchase them can still enjoy the attraction without the additional power up capabilities .
It was previously announced that Spider-Man as portrayed Tom Holland will feature prominently in the attraction, bringing guests into the WEB workshop, where young engineers specialize in developing innovative technologies to equip and empower a new generation of Super Heroes while drawing inspiration from the inventions of Peter Parker, including the Spider-Bots that eventually go awry during a demonstration and kick off the exciting ride experience.
