Hong Kong Disneyland has had a rough reopening as it has been forced to close three times for the COVID-19 Pandemic, initially from January 25, 2020 through June 18, 2020, again from July 15, 2020 through September 25, 2020 and then finally on December 2, 2020. However, it looks like that final closure may be coming to an end soon.
It has been announced that on February 18, Hong Kong will be easing COVID-19 restrictions with regard to sports and entertainment facilities which will pave the way for a Hong Kong Disneyland reopening. Though Hong Kong Disneyland has not made a specific statement about the potential reopening, under the new guidelines set to take effect next week, theme parks, cinemas and all sports facilities will be allowed to reopen with specific conditions (masking, distancing, etc.) in place.
When it reopens Hong Kong Disneyland will finally be able to properly show off its new icon, the Castle of Magical Dreams, which officially debuted on November 21, 2020, just a few weeks before the park shut down. Though Hong Kong Disneyland is getting ready to reopen, Disneyland Paris and Disneyland Resort in California remain closed for the time being. However, it looks like guests visiting California will at least be able to walk around Disney California adventure soon, albeit for a price. Are you excited to see these parks reopen?
