Though Epcot’s original Leave a Legacy structures were removed over a year ago as part of the park’s main entrance redesign, Disney has brought this feature back with an updated look in a new location near the security checkpoints just outside the park’s entrance. You can check out the new look of these structures below:
This new installation is the first of many that will be installed just outside the park’s main gates, which will join together to form a beautiful mural celebrating this iconic program from Epcot’s past.
Guests who were a part of Leave a Legacy can use their smart device to scan the QR code at the Leave a Legacy display. This opens up the tile finder search feature, which can provide the coordinates for a tile’s location. Guests can also visit Epcot’s Guest Relations location for assistance.
The re-installation of the Leave a Legacy structure is one of the final pieces of the Epcot entrance redesign, which is now almost complete. Of course, work on other elements of Epcot’s reinvention, including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, and more are still being worked on and not expected to debut until 2022 or later, while the fate of other projects, like the PLAY! Pavilion and permanent festival center is still unknown due to shifting budgets as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
