Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Boarding Groups No Longer “Selling Out” in Moments

Ever since reopening last July, Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ most popular attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has been incredibly tough to get on, with the virtual queue boarding passes “selling out” seconds after they become available. Disney has tried to make things at least a little easier for guests recently, changing the time for the “second chance” virtual queue to 1:00 PM and not allowing park hoppers to join the virtual queue. And luckily these measures, as well as much lower attendance following the holiday season have helped boarding groups become a lot more attainable in recent days.

Though the early morning initial virtual boarding group distribution time at 7:00 AM is still filling up within minutes, the second chance boarding group has been available for an hour or more in recent days, suggesting that demand for this attraction is finally relenting at least a little bit, and Disney has added enough capacity to offer boarding groups to all the guests visiting the park on a given day that want them.

Disney recently ended strict social distancing on this attraction, adding plexiglass in between rows so that multiple parties could ride together, and have also started allowing guests with park passes to try for early morning boarding passes from off-site.

Though we’d imagine demand for this attraction will surge once again this spring during the Spring Break travel season, right now seems like a great time to stop by Disney’s Hollywood Studios if you are wanting to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, as boarding groups seem to be the easiest to get that they’ve ever been right now!
