3 Disney Springs Locations Now Closed Forever

Though foot traffic at Disney Springs has increased in recent weeks in correlation with growing guest levels at the theme parks, it looks like financial troubles have hit some of the oldest retail and dining locations at this entertainment district, with many confirming permanent closures of Disney Springs locations over the last few days, including the following:

    1. TUMI

TUMI, a premium travel store located near the Anthropologie store in the middle of the Town Center area of Disney Springs has closed as of this week. This location formerly carried a range of premium travel, business & lifestyle bags, accessories and luggage and has been in operation at Disney Springs since August 2016.

    2.  Lucky Brand jeans closed forever at Disney Springs

It has been confirmed that Lucky Brand at Disney Springs had final day of operation back in late October, and will be permanently closed. The store originally opened along with the Town Center expansion, and though it did reopen as part of the phased reopening of Disney Springs, it is now permanently closed.

    3. Wolfgang Puck Express

The Wolfgang Puck Express location in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs near the Disney’s Days of Christmas shop permanently closed in mid-October. This former location was one of the oldest eateries at Disney Springs, dating back to the district’s Downtown Disney days, and was one of the few that served breakfast, lunch and dinner, which makes this a truly unfortunate loss for this area of the shopping and dining district. Wolfgang Puck Express was also one of the more budget-friendly locations at Disney Springs as well.

Though there are a lot of closures happening right now at Disney Springs, there are also two very high profile openings coming soon to this shopping and dining district as well. First up is Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, opening sometime this month at Disney Springs West Side. This new eatery will be located adjacent to Splitsville and near the west entrance and exit of the Orange Parking Garage, and will serve hand-crafted donuts, cold brew lattes and coffee cocktails, plus a few sweet-yet-savory sandwich bites.

In addition,  Gideon’s Bakehouse will be opening soon, bringing small-batch, handmade, almost half-pound cookies to Disney Springs with unique flavors like Peanut Butter Crisp, Cookies & Cream and Pistachio Toffee Dark Chocolate. This new location will bring an expanded menu of cookie and cake slices to Disney Springs, plus add its own line of unique iced coffees, like the Original Peanut Butter Iced Coffee.

How do you feel about the changing lineup at Disney Springs? Did you ever visit these closed stores? And are you looking forward to these new eateries? Let us know your thoughts!
