Disney has been introducing a lot of deals and discounts recently to try and entice guests to return to the theme parks, and as part of their plan Disney has announced that annual passholders specifically can take advantage of some new perks that will be available for a limited time this fall.
First up, annual passholders will see the return of a generous merchandise discount beginning on September 15th, when they will begin receiving 30% off select merchandise purchases at Walt Disney World Resort owned-and-operated merchandise locations in both the theme parks and Disney Springs. This limited-time discount is available through October 29, 2020 and passholders must present a valid annual pass and government-issued photo ID at time of purchase to receive discount.
In addition to the discount, Disney has announced that guests who have purchased the Epcot After 4 annual pass can now enjoy additional time in this park, as this pass will now be valid from 2:00 PM on any day that the park closes at 7:00 PM (which is the currently scheduled close time from now through at least November 21, 2020) so that guests with this annual pass can once again enjoy full afternoons at this park.
Of course, one of the main issues annual passholders continue to experience is sparse availability of parks pass reservations, which have been keeping many guests away from the parks since reopening. However, it looks like Disney has been tweaking its parks pass availability system in recent weeks to allow as many people as capacity limits will allow to get in to the theme parks as possible, but annual passholders in particular may need to be a bit more strategic than others in how they make these pass reservations. We’ve got plenty of tips and tricks for getting the Walt Disney World parks pass reservation you want here.
