Thorpe Park have announced their new attraction Black Mirror Labyrinth which is set to open in Spring 2020 and is boasted to be the World’s first live Black Mirror experience.
Few details have been given so far as to exactly what guests are to expect when they enter the labyrinth but “cutting-edge visual technology and sensory-defying environments” have been promised by Thorpe Park. It is described as being “a hypnotic maze which has an uneasy truth that manipulates and displaces your very existence”. The aim for guests who dare to take on this challenge is to keep your grip on reality! We are guessing however that the digital environment and extensive visual and sensory effects will enable the creators to make that as difficult as possible. You didn’t think it was going to be easy did you?
Since Merlin took over the operation of four of the most popular theme parks across the UK in 2007, Thorpe Park has been aimed more towards the teenager/young adult market meaning this should be a perfect fit for their targeted demographic. We are expecting this new attraction to not disappoint hoards of groups of teenagers trying to show off and impress how well they can tackle the Black Mirror Labyrinth.
Although an actual opening date for this attraction has not been confirmed, it is being marketed as opening in Spring 2020 so we are hopeful that it will be operating on the parks first day on Friday 27th March.
