Even though the traditionally “slow” season is here, Disney Springs has remained busy as guests continue to flood Walt Disney World during what has been a busier-than-normal 2020 thus far. And though this month does see the closure of a short-lived kiosk at the shopping and dining district, it also includes a new opening, expansion, and more!
1. Disney+ information kiosk now closed
Though Disney+ launched only a few months ago on November 12,2019, it looks like the Disney+ kiosk that opened on that same date (which featured Cast Members answering questions about the new service and helping guests sign up) is now closed.
2. Chicken Guy expanding into Planet Hollywood for more seating
Last month, work began on an expansion for the popular Chicken Guy! eatery at Disney Springs. This expansion will be converting space that was formerly The Store at Planet Hollywood into more indoor dining space for guests at this location. This new area should be open very soon!
3. New City Works Eatery & Pour House to open this month
Though it was originally supposed to open last summer, it looks like the City Works Eatery & Pour House will finally open this month at Disney Springs. This eatery will be located on the West Side next to The NBA Experience, and will serve 80 beers on tap, as well as popular wines, bar bites, shareables, burgers and more. The 8,632 square foot restaurant will also offer a retail space, and three full-service bars.
4. New concept art released for M & M’s Store at Disney Springs
Disney released concept art showing off the new 10200 sq. ft. M & M’s story that will be coming to Disney Springs later this year. This location will be situated in the former Fit2Run and Curl locations next to Splitsville and across from House of Blues. Unfortunately, the existing location in Florida Mall will be closing very soon to make way for the opening of the new Disney Springs M & M’s store.
5. Blaze Pizza now offering online ordering
Though most Disney-owned or operated eateries at Disney Springs offer mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app, Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs is now accepting online orders for this location via the Blaze Pizza app or website. Guests who use this feature can order their custom pizza before they arrive and skip the line at this popular eatery.
