Disneyland Resort is already having a huge 2020, with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance drawing huge crowds to Disneyland Park, and the new Avengers Campus California set to open in just a few months at Disney California Adventure. If you are a fan of Disney’s West Coast resort, here are all the changes you need to know about, including the addition of a high-flying animatronic that will wow guests this summer!
1. Spider-Man “Stuntronic” to flip and fly high above Disney California Adventure soon!
Guests visiting Disney California Adventure Park this summer will be able to look up catch a glimpse of something truly spectacular: the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man himself swinging above the rooftops of Avengers Campus! You can check out the video above to see this advanced tech in action! And best of all, this superhero will be debuting before the opening of Avengers Campus California, as Spider-Man will be flying around Hollywood Land later this year before this land opens.
This amazing new animatronic uses Disney Imagineering’s “Stuntronic” robotic figures, which can perform extreme aerial maneuvers 60 feet in the air, making real-time decisions for when to tuck, turn, and stick the perfect landing. You can see a video of this technology in development below:
